General Geography
Eastern Varosha
Varosha is based off of the geography of North America. As such, it is very large and expansive. However, for the sake of roleplay, the areas in which can be traveled have been cut down considerably. The north is colder, the south is warmer, the coasts have plenty of rain, and central Varosha is just a huge mess. All of Varosha is thought to be toxic, so gas masks or some sort of breathing apparatus are required to wear around, if you value your well-being. There is a general haze hanging around the air, making it seem darker than it usually is. The only exception to this is in certain places in the northernmost point in Varosha, where you are able to climb above the haze. There are also a few spots in the western reaches of Central Varosha where it is possible to get above the haze.
Eastern Varosha
The starting area just outside of the gates is littered with the bones of the fallen just outside. Past that, however, it's generally in flux with the seasons. Most of Eastern Varosha are large city ruins carried over by Mewtwo's moving everything and attempting to destroy anything that could be of use to humans. As such, chunks of cities have been strewn across the landscape, making the area more urban than anything. For as far as the eye can see, there are piles upon piles of brick and metal of various sizes. Few buildings remain standing or in-tact, but what few have remained do not look stable. Weeds and tall grass have started growing and there's an unpleasant stench hanging around in the air. To the east of the starting area is the ocean, but getting there is impossible for those just starting out. A hundreds of miles long barrier created by Mewtwo separates the ocean from those on the other side. The barrier consists of sharp, jagged, metal put together with his psychic power that is perhaps a few dozen feet tall. To the west just seems like an endless expanse of mountains of ruins, but eventually it thins out.
Central Varosha
In Central Varosha, things are always in flux. There are not nearly as many city graveyards here. It's more open, but what once were lush fields are now rampant with ugly plants and untamed grass. At some points, it is easy to get lost due to the unchecked grass being so tall and being unable to see anything other than grass in front of you, save for the sky above. There are a number of large rivers that run through, but it's best to not drink any water from them, as they seem polluted at best, if not completely toxic. In the westernmost portion of Central Varosha, there is a mountain range that can be scaled to an extent, but due to Mewtwo's handiwork, is impossible to go over without the help of a large, hardy, Flying-type Pokémon, or a high-level Ground-type Pokémon.
Southern Varosha
Southern Varosha is likely the place that looks the best, but has the most hostile wild Pokémon. With swamps galore in the eastern half, the southern region of Varosha is home to many Poison-types, more so than is seen anywhere else. There are no exceptions to hostile Pokémon here; if you encounter one, it will attack. Whether it's you or your Pokémon it attacks, remains to be seen. As you go further west, the landscape dries out and there is nothing but dry, cracked ground and large quantities of sand and cacti strewn across the landscape. There is an oasis here that is neutral territory, though; anyone who seeks out the oasis is treated in a neutral manner, even if they happen to be human. No grudges are held here, and everyone is respected, as long as there are no hostile intentions.
Western Varosha
Just past the base of the mountain range that was in Central Varosha, things start looking less dismal. It starts to resemble Eastern Varosha considerably more, with city ruins more prominent, and the piles of brick and metal sky-high again. The only difference here is that it seems to be cooler in the central part more often, due to being low altitude. There is a certain point where the altitude is so low, that the haze and other toxic gases had accumulated to much, that there's just a thick, green, toxic fog. It's possible to be dispersed with the move Defog, but it won't last, and it's not recommended to try and get through this area without it, or at all, as it's not an area that needs to be traveled through in order to move on.
Northern Varosha
The coldest part of Varosha it gets steadily more so the further north you go. From Western Varosha to Northern Varosha, there is an old, dingy fence that looks like it used to be some sort of border separating the two. It's easy to find or make a hole in the fence, however. Snow seems to constantly be falling further north, and the farther you go, the heavier it gets. There is a mysterious cave at the northernmost point of Varosha that looks like it could be some key to getting out of Varosha. Ice-types are rampant in Northern Varosha, and it's either hit-or-miss with the demeanor of Pokémon here.
